SOUha Backdrop No.009 is a professional backdrop featuring a paper-cloth base—woven meticulously with paper yarn both warp and weft—irregularly transferred with aluminum leaf.
The structural texture of the paper cloth generates three-dimensional shadows under light. The transferred aluminum leaf reflects light selectively depending on the angle and intensity of the light source, adding a deep optical contrast to the surface. Is this an authentic piece? How should I care for it?

Can I use it for vertical shots, or only for flat lays?

How should I describe it? It has such a mysterious and intriguing look, almost like a combination of a silver weave and paper textile. Really interesting!
I bought this thinking it would be great for photographing jewelry like earrings and necklaces. Review after shooting: It would be ideal if it were wider like a standard backdrop screen, but since it's around 1 meter (approx. 3.3 ft / 40 inches) wide, pulling the camera back too far makes the edges and back of the backdrop visible, so a wider option would be great. I felt it pairs even better with metallic items than wooden ones. Silver and gold earrings popped amazingly well. Changing the angles alters the vibe too, so this single sheet gave me a surprisingly wide variety of shooting styles. Handling & Storage: It arrives rolled up, so I just use it as is. Since I hang it from above, I was able to hang the roll directly. One thing to note is that stepping on it with shoes leaves marks, so you definitely shouldn't step on it. It can get creased and wrinkled if bent, so it's best to store it rolled up as much as possible. Verdict: It requires careful handling, but aside from that, the design and expression using natural materials are top-notch. I think it was a great purchase.
I love the irregularly scattered foil. It gives it such a luxurious feel!
I tried shooting with water droplets on it, and the silver parts actually repelled the water! The white portions absorbed it, though. Good to know for creative shoots!
