Can I use it for vertical shots, or only for flat lays?

I was looking for a natural rock-like background and bought this because it was an exact match for what I had in mind. I thought it might be plastic, so I scratched it with my nail and some mineral particles came off, which made me realize it really uses genuine minerals. Getting this quality with real minerals for this price feels like an absolute steal. It’s not just a flat print; the surface has real, rugged bumps and textures. By letting in natural light and playing with shadows, I’ve been able to capture some truly striking promotional photos.
This is amazing! If you shine a light from behind, the light peeks right through the gaps in the stone and looks insanely ethereal and magical!
I saw a review mentioning that once it indents, it doesn't bounce back, so I've been careful not to step or lean on it while handling. It's been working out with zero issues so far.
The description said it was background paper made from mica, so I expected a hard mineral, but it's surprisingly soft and lightweight. Sometimes if your fingernail hits it or scratches it, a bit of the mica flakes off, but the surface looks so cool that I still love it.
It looks super cool, but the stone is softer than I expected. If you step on it with shoes or put your knees on it, it dents right there and leaves a footprint that won't go back to normal. Definitely best not to place heavy objects on top of it.

The material itself is gorgeous and I'm very happy with it. The only negative point is that little bits of stone flakes tend to shed and fall off.

I've always used flat colored paper for my backdrops, so I was hesitant and worried about whether a natural material backdrop would live up to my expectations.
